He hasn't responded to any of the issues surrounding his family getting the money from the Wharf, The building contract of Simon Sanchez high school, GVB, etc.... why isn't he fighting this issue for the people of Guam? Too much conflict of interest.

To : Islander 2, You are a condescending, and arrogant, individual !
You read peoples comments on this page and have the audacity call people " Morons".

You display such childish behavior ?

Respect other peoples comments ! For crying out loud ! Why ! is it, that when you don't agree with the comment s here, you call the person a " Moron" ! Then you must be a God !

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.... like the saying goes " An opinion is like a butt hole, everybody's got one".

    Respect goes both ways !!!!

Not since Governor Ricky Bordallo has there been a better Governor. Sure, Ada gave lots of money back to the taxpayers, but that was an excess that should have been reinvested into schools, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure. Eddie has done more to correct the failures and foresight of Gov's Ada, Gutierroist, and Felix the Failure. Rest assured I'm not Eddie's biggest fan, however, I know enough to call him out when I have before for decisions I didn't agree with and many, like the commuting of sentences of violent and criminal non-citizens, that I do hands down agree with. Eddie, Ray, and their team are doing the heavy lifting and cleaning up a mess that came with the job. Sure it doesn't look pretty, but the shine is coming back and so are the tourists, military spending, business development, economy, public safety, health, and hopefully, with Jon Fernandez's help, the education of our children. For their future and the future of everyone that calls Guam home, I hope and pray we'll vote in new faces, flush out the old, and truly commit to changing our island's direction.

Compare the management of previous Governors Gutierriez and Felix Camacho .

It's obvious that Governor Calvo has the best financial management by a huge margin.

Remember when there were no ambulance available because they were all broke down ? A relative of mine called for an ambulance and they sent a huge fire truck..... so sad, so embarassing !

With Governor Calvo as Governor he has done a SPECTACULAR JOB in financial management for GovGuam. He has that skill to begin with dealing with his family businesses. His assests in financial management is instilled in him. If you disagree then just take a look at all his family businesses.....They are financially strong!!

Yes I agree with islander, more money coming in but the same problems persist. I believe it because all of Gov. Guam follow the sign at the Airport. Hafa Adai. Everyone in Gov. Guam only works half a day. The legislative and executive branches follow the same suit. That's why everything Gov. Guam get involved with is contaminated, corrupted, or completely in shambles. The only schools that we can be proud of are the leased schools. These are less schools that DOE needs to maintain. So why are the other schools still not up to par. Poor management. Roads are in shambles due to poor management. Power plants ready to quit, poor management. Water system sucks, poor managment. The hospital is deplorable poor management. There are no excuses, if they at least fixed one of the problem agencies, then moved to another but it's a never ending cycle. That's why we need to get rid of the pare system. Get rid of the incumbent senators who have been there so long and only continue to get a check. approprating money is not fixing anything it's a bandage that only covers the sore. Just the same as GWA fixing the water leaks with all the bandages. They are quick fixes but not permanent.

Financial management ? Lol . More like spending spree . Gov Guam is going broke people .. overpaid government execs , senators , directors even the mayor's .. reduce the payraise 50% at minimum to help ease gov Guams financial woes. Tourist coming in record numbers but no money for public schools , health insurance etc.. I still see the same potholes in my village mr mayor ! I still see our parks looking like crap mrs mayor ! I still see illegal dump sites mayors ! Cmon work for the payraise your receiving ! Leche gagu-itis hitting everyone or what ? Lol !
    Thanks Gov Guam.
