AGAIN, KEEP THE PRICE OF AIRFARE TO GUAM CHEAP. GET THE CUSTOMERS TO THE FRONT DOOR "GUAM". ALLOW AIRLINE COMPANIES "JET FUEL REBATES", TAX INCENTIVES OR VOLUME REWARDS TO TAX EXEMPT FOR EXECUTIVES ON 1040, TOURIST WITH FAMILIES AND GROUPS REWARDS AND FREE TICKETS TO MUSEUM OR OPTION PACKAGES OPERATED BY OPTION TOUR COMPANIES. GEDA AND GVB GOT IDEAS OR WHAT ITS WITH YOU. DO YOU JOB.
WE NEED TO CREATE BETTER HOLIDAY TOURS FOR SHOPPING. WHY? MOST CUSTOMER ARE BARGAIN HUNTERS FOR BRAND GOODS. WE NEED TO CREATE BARGAIN HUNTERS LANE FOR HIGH SPENDERS. OUR CUSTOMERS ARE SECOND TIME VISITORS LOOKING FOR BARGAINS AND REST IN CLEAN AND QUITE HOTELS. FUN UNDER THE SUN IS ONE SEASON NOT FOR ANNUAL GOAL... IT DOES NOT TAKE A GENIUS TO FIGURE WHEN THE TIDES ARE TURNING.

Calvo's got this Guam. We replaced Gerry Perez with Nate Denight kid with no industry experience in tourism. If you were in the private sector and your #1 Japanese market collapses heads would roll. Dumb ass tried to convince us that Russia market was where we should go...and we have 100% increase from before...100% increase from what 50,100, 200 people? compared to millions from Japan? Oh by the way Russia's president hates the USA...that didn't work huh! We'll just hire another calvo company "Tropical Productions" cause we hold 1 event in the PI - MMA fighting...huh...how does that qualify you to be a marketing company for tourism. That's Denights way of saying..stupid local people are to dumb to do anything...and I agree! Calvo's got this Guam...just stay stupid and get out of the way!

Good that there are other people who see through the sham of GVB's public-relations efforts. Despite claims of record-setting tourist arrivals on island, the additional revenue that should've been collected, seems non-existent. As other commenters have asked, WHERE IS THE MONEY?! It's in the pockets of the foreigners that own all the hotels in Tumon.

Tourism should exist to, promote and sustain financially, the beauty and resources of our island. It seems that the only people benefiting here are the foreign hospitality business owners and the corrupted political elite families of Guam. These families are pimping our island to the highest foreign bidders and leaving us with nothing but a cheeseburger and a crack pipe.

GVB only promote shopping which is a joke because there are far better shopping in Asian counties. Guam has beautiful ocean and beach and culture and those are not being promoted or taken cared, our beaches are trashed, GVB spent so much money on useless promotions. Guam needs quality visitors not quantity. GVB wake up!

GVB doe's a lot of work and spends a lot of money attracting tourists to Guam. When they get here, Guam sends them away thinking"what a ghetto." Read the rest of the comments on this page, you'll see the other stuff.

The island need a MAJOR trash pick up. Commercial business should pay a fine for allowing their building to look like a dump. Many business have broken signs, paint peeling, writing on the wall, and the business owners DONT care. This ultimately affects the image of the island.

With the amount of money budgeted for GVB's tourism marketing it's not that surprising the tourist count is up but I have to ask wher is the money coming in ? Why aren't we collecting more ? Gov Guam says tourist arrival reached record levels but there's still no money in the coffers .
Where did the money go ? Please someone explain to me how an increase in tourist results in less money collected . Thanks Gov Guam ! Lol ..
