PDN is now protecting the Calvos and removing the comments as people were pointing out all of the Calvos greed. They must have been threatened with losing ad dollars. Way to cave in PDN!

Wake Up - Did you read what the Poll topic is? You say nothing even related to the topic...thank you for proving my point on how dumb locals are! You refuse to acknowledge that the dumb chamorros elect the same senators, over and over...so obviously you are part of the stupid people that slept in class and work for Gov Guam cause no one else will hire you....Wake up!

  • wake up - 7 years ago

Chinese Troll....Guam Island is not a dump idiots, your the idiot. I guest your not rich like some people. Wake up you monkey.

  • Chinese Troll - 7 years ago

Guam island of dumb idiots! (except for Americans & Asians..cause we are smart and own our own businesses). The Chamorro people of Guam elect the same ding dongs as senators. So look in the mirror local people of Guam...that's the people to blame. Our solution to everything...give a pay raise, even when your in debt. Now tell me how stupid is that?

Shout Out to the other idiot guy: We should hire that guy who claims to teach english well so we can all get dumber.

why are we talking about this? I want to know why Underwood and 6 Board members terminated Jon Fernandez's contract? Our children lost a good leader in education. Vote out Underwood! #bringbackjon

Mr. Zerzan, my apologies. I forgot that people, too, troll the internet, and start harmful dialogue by pretending they're people, like yourself, myself, and others, who have strong, valid, and often colorful opinions. I'm not sure about the "I'm more local than you," comment. Don't let my command of English and "name" fool you. You have nice day. At the least, you're interesting to read....

  • Paul Zerzan - 7 years ago

Christian, the racist comment about locals was not posted by me. They signed themself as Paul Zerzan ChaMORON. Race has nothing to do with this issue and I respect all people of Guam and I also think the Guam's core culture "Chamorro" deserves particular respect. Whoever signed that racist comment insulted me as much as you. Sincerely (the real) Paul Zerzan

  • Paul Zerzan - 7 years ago

Christian, I am more local than you.

  • George - 7 years ago

Here is a real a poll question: Should Underwood stop hiding and do her job by calling an education oversight to find why Jon Fernandez was terminated? We know Underwood is behind terminating Jon Fernandez, but will the media force her to do her job. The people want answers to this fiasco. #bringjonback

    CHOOSE CHANGE GUAM!

CHANGE IS THE ONLY WAY. OUT WITH THE OLD. TIME FOR THE NEW!

  • Limtiaco - 7 years ago

This issue is petty . I want to know why Underwood lead the way to terminate Jon Fernandez? Underwood is hiding from calling the DOE Board in for questioning? Vote UNDERWOOD out so we can bring Jon Fernandez back.

The problems, my fellow Guamanians, isn't the politicians. It's the people (me, you, your neighbors, your co-workers, your enemies) that put these people in the Legislature. The problems we have with politics is because a lot of locals who are really quiet right now, use politicians to get jobs they don't deserve, get contracts they didn't bid for, and get money/food stamps/hand outs, rather than be part of the solution and work/contribute. That's why Guamanians get such a bad rap from "outsiders" because we put these people in the legislature and we ask them for political favors. Fernandez? He made moves on a student. I don't know why he still has supporters.. just like Apuron. The school board member Ms. Gutierrez voted to keep him in because Fernandez gave her immediate family members jobs and promoted her daughter to a position she didn't deserve. Ai adai. We go through this circus every 2 years.

Zerzan? You again? Spanish came here and didn't pay for any of their supplies.... and when Chamoru's took things for payment, you still are that naïve to believe Chamoru's were thieves? You're white, right? American, too? Your kind committed genocide to the Indians, bought African slaves, polluted the Marshalls, and gave rise to Trump ... and you dare open your mouth again?! You are a disease here.. you need to get your carpet-bagging self, hop on a plane, and just leave. How many times do locals have to tell you to leave. LEAVE ALREADY! Leave us locals to our own devices, if we created a problem, WE LOCALS can solve it and fix it. We're not perfect and we have a lot of baggage to deal with when it comes to politics, ... but you are your attitude need to pack it up and leave. Don't worry, we LOCALS will do just fine. It takes time to weed out the idiots, much less to create a PERFECT government. I don't know of any anyway. Gracious... can't believe after all these years of availing yourself of our hospitality, (just like the thieving dirty smelly Spanish), you have to pull out the race card. I shudder if you have kids.

Senator,s.....pay off all your loans before December 31, caused some old runners might not come back. Use up your pay raised and work for me $8.25 an hour. Wake up Senator's time for change.

You people who want an increased minimum wage are ignorant. If you're tired of where you're at and want more in life, go and get it. Stop expecting freaking handouts in life. Dropped out of high school, never went to college, dropped out of college or not certified to do something. THAT'S YOUR FAULT. There is no age limit for to get a degree, a G.E.D., or even getting certified to do something. You're at where you're at in life because you didn't want more for your life before. It's only now knowing how real the struggle is that you want more. Yet you still won't put in the work and time to change it. You've become so lazy, making up excuses not to improve yourself and you're situation. This is reality and all those who want an increased minimum wage apparently didn't get hit by it hard enough. STOP expecting a better lifestyle to come and be handed out to you and get off your a** and go get it yourself. You'll never get the life you want, when you're waiting for someone else to make the change for you.

Of course it will affect who I vote for . My family and relatives are fed up with these senators who promises to work for the people but never really do . It's time for a change ! Time to show them they work for us the people of Guam and not for themselves or their special interests /friends/relatives. Senator SAN Nicholas has my vote and my relatives vote .. Please Please vote out Tina Muna Barnes , Rory Respicio , Dennis Rodriguez and Tommy Morrison out ! These greedy Corrupt Morons need to be replaced ! Please Vote out Senator Underwood she is already serving to benefit herself and not for the benefit of the public . Omg ! I can't wait to vote these jerks out ! Lol ...
Thanks Gov Guam ! Please go out and vote ! ..

  • John - 7 years ago

Looks like PDN is trying to rig the election. Why is PDN protecting Underwood again? Why is PDN not calling on Underwood to have an oversight for hatchet job to terminate Jon Fernandez. Why is PDN protecting her? VOTE out Underwood!

  • Toves - 7 years ago

The only crooks in office are the people who postively view their pay raises as a good thing for this island. Get real, Guam can't afford your pay raises.

  • Pablo - 7 years ago

Si Nai! Why didn't you senators who voted to keep your raises just separate your salary from the Mayors, Gov, Lt. Gov, & Dept. Directors from the beginning. Boohoo nooooo. NOW you're going to lose many of your supporters votes and possibly the election. Right Judi WONPAT, Tony Ada! Tommy Morrison, Frank Blas Jr., Tina Muna Barnes, Dennis Rodriguez Jr., & Brant McCreadie!!

  • Tired - 7 years ago

Hopefully everyone does and we show and get rid of these incumbents who have been greedy and only think of the benefits for themselves. The the next bunch of senators will wake up and see the people are not farting around. Do your job for the people, because your were elected by the people, to serve the people. Not your self centered asses.

  • Concerned Citizen - 7 years ago

Those who voted for their own pay raises know their days are numbered. Who, in their right mind, would re-elect the very people that only thought of themselves? Only their relatives and current employees would unfortunately still support to save their own skin. Taxpayers can no longer afford to re-elect these Senators as they've proven allegiance to the Administration. In turn, the Administration continues to loot GovGuam through highly questionable procurement, ridiculous lawsuits, and more borrowing that would bring us all to the brink of bankruptcy. We need new blood to fight for the masses and stop the madness by this Administration and its supporters from the Legislature. Make your vote count. Vote, and vote only those who truly deserve to be reelected. Otherwise, bring in new blood.

  • CaptOutraged - 7 years ago

When you put your hand in the cookie jar and then try to keep what's in your hand, it won't come out of the jar. Let the politicians know that we are watching and will NOT support any of this kind of activity. The only way for change is to NOT VOTE FOR ANYONE WHO IS ALREADY THERE. We have seen what kind of people they are by voting themslves raises and letting our schools go to hell taking our children with them.
LIMITED TERMS.....CREATED BY VOTERS NOT RE-ELECTING THOSE WHO ARE ALREADY THERE.

  • Ko - 7 years ago

Remember The Raises....Do Not Vote for any Incumbents! 1 exception...Vote for Sen. Michael San Nicolas.

  • Paul Zerzan - 7 years ago

Of course it will. We trusted these people and they have proven they cannot be trusted.
They are nothing but thieves and they ought to be jailed..

  • Basta Man - 7 years ago

    Most definitely.
