All countries need borders ...all countries have borders...uups, except here where the democrats are intentionally trying to get anyone they can to come here and be dependent on the dole so they have a continuous source of democratic voters.

It seems to me we are cracking down on the wrong people. Employers especially small, have systematically dodged the requirements of existing law. Laws drawn up by the Reagan white house and Congress required employerd to collect data and documents about who they hired. Those laws have never been enforced except in the most egregious cases. I have been a small business consultant. I have been flabbergasted by the willful disregard of this law. But most small business owners think it is just another paperwork hassle keeping them from becoming the next Microsoft. Or as I have heard "I don't live on the border why should I do this. One of the worst is the restaurant business. They don't want to know where their employees come from or are here legally. Think of that the next time you go to dinner. I saw one comment that Asians are here legally. Don't tell that to the young women in the nail shop or Asian restaurants. That is why many are rotated from one business to the next. Having lived in Texas for several years I know first hand without immigrants legal and otherwise the foundation of the state would crumble. They are far too often the political scapegoats for intellectually and morally corrupt politicians of that state. Most folks I ran across took a rather cavalier attitude of.livr and let live. Immigration is broken but we need to use and enforce the laws we have on the books not create a dog and pony show for the voters. Let's reaffirm we are a nation of immigrants. We cannot pull up the bridge behind us. It's not how it works.

Look into your own hearts, and think what you'd do to protect your children if you lived in a country where there is war, hunger, dictatorship. Shut down the border first. Once we have a secure border we need to set a deadline for everyone who is here illegally to register by, if you fail to register and you have any police contact your gone no questions asked. Once everyone is registered we stairt sifting through who is here. Set a standard on what is required and set some sort of a path to a legal status. Kicking everyone out illegally will never work. Americans are becoming more and more lazy by the minute and we need people who want to work and have the drive to succeed that our founding fathers and ancestors had. Not to mention the children of many of these illegal people are here and are citizens if their parents are deported you will have tons of orphans because even though their parents may love them they would likely abandon them so the children have a chance to live their lives and succed in America.

Stop thinking you can take advantage of the system. A timetable must be set up for the undocumented people the are here and our borders must be strengthened in the meantime.

How would you feel being on the other persons shoes, you being taken away from your children. Not everyone was fortunate to have a green card. There's bad criminals in every ethnicity but the people that come here to better their families life shouldn't have to be deported while standing on the side of the sidewalk.
