Is it fair to criticize Jennifer Lawrence for her size in The Hunger Games?

I don't think it matters she is sexy and that's that so the critics can shove it

I think she was great for the role. The book says she has a healthier more fit body than most of the other tributes from hunting and being active in order to feed her family. I was thinking that she had a really tiny waste but also looked healthy. How can someone as skinny as Bella was in breaking dawn play the role of Katniss when someone that slim would have a hard time walking let alone running away from people who are trying to kill her.... come on...

I just came back from the Hunger Games movie. Jennifer Lawrence made the movie for me, regardless of size. There were other characters that fell short of the description in the books in my mind, as is pretty much always the case in any book-to-movie adaptation.

It isn't about sending the wrong message to young girls - the character is supposed to be unhealthily skinny - she is STARVING - so the girl who played her should have been CGI'd skinny like bella was when she was pregnant in breaking dawn 1
