    While I am glad to see an article praising my team, and rightly championing Brendan, you should be aware that we have been playing this kind of possession football for several years now.

    Starting with Bryan Flynn, then taken to another level my Roberto Martinez. Continued by Paolo Sousa, until Rogers added the extra element to take us to the PL.

    He was lucky in that he had players comfortable on the ball, and already steeped in the philosophy he tried to engineer at Reading.

    Luckily for us, Madjeski and the Reading fans ran out of patience. We've had it for several years, so he was always going to be given time to tweak what we already had in place.
