There are ample studies showing how important school library PROGRAMS are to school culture and test scores. Quality books for primary students, accessible digital tools and instruction for intermediate students, and critical thinking for all is essential. Teacher librarians make this happen with adequate time, training and resources. The Internet is an amazing tool to be used thoughtfully and not a substitute for teaching.
