Should anti-virus software be free from the OS you use?
Absolutely! It's their software, it's their security issues, it's their problem! Fix it!
Well, for things like OS loopholes, but if you start using other programs, then it leaves their realm of responsibility.
Naw, they don't need to provide anything! Basic security at the OS shell level, but other than that, the responsibility of keeping your system safe is totally your own!
