What do you love most about publishing your own books?

I prefer not to publish my own books.

It's my happy hobby.

My parents raised a rebel, even if they didn't mean to.

I fell into it after my midlife crisis.

I got into it because of my seething hatred of my other employment options.

I'm out to break my parents' hearts.

More freedom.

The tiny surrealist mime in my pocket is eating an invisible banana.

I hate self-pubbers! I'm slumming on this blog and New York will discover me!

I prefer self-publishing's model for reimbursement.

More control.

Choice? I could have chosen something easier? Like brain surgery?

I wanted to publish sooner than later.

It's my career. I'm a &%$@!! artist!
