Coun. Al Maghnieh has resigned as library chair, is that enough?

    It seems to me that even when he knew the rules about use of the credit card, he chose to ignore them. For that reason alone he should resign from council. The person that issued him the credit card should be sentured also.

    Yes we all make mistakes but when it comes to politicians and the negative impression people have of politicians nowadays there is no room for mistakes. We all know that. Whenever someone in a political position is caught abusing financial protocol an example needs to be made of them regardless of how unfortunate the situation may be. It is very nice to forgive and forget but if this is not appropriately dealt with then I am afraid the second-guessing of politicians will unfairly continue. Only people of sound integrity should be allowed to serve in positions of public trust. To allow such public representatives to make such mistakes should be considered in contempt to those who do not.

    Let the one of you who did not commit a sin to cast a stone.
    Let's not forget all the goods Al has done, we all make mistakes,everybody deserves a second chance,let's just see how is he willing to make it up. We can always hammer him again if he screws up.
