Trial by jury is a right garunteed by the constitution so that the defendant may have a fair trial.
The defendant may choose a bench trial. The constitution does not require a jury trial.
Time to start discussing black raciscm.
GOD IS IN CONTROL AND I AM SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF LIFE TO THE MARTINS AND PAIN TO ALL INCLUDING MY FATHER AND MYSELF. IT IS TIME FOR AMERICA TO FOCUS ON ALL THE CRIMINALS IN AMERICAS SOCIETY AND QUIT ALLOWING WHITE PEOPLE TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER. IT IS NOT JUST ME IT IS THE WORLD TELLING AMERICA TO STOP WHITE CRIMINALS FROM FEELING LIKE THEY HAVE PERMISSION TO RAPE ROB AND MURDER ANY AND ALL COLORS OF PEOPLE THAT THEY CHOOSE. I HAVE EVIDENCE THAT THEY COMMITTED MANY MANY CRIMES AGAINST ME AND OTHERS AND I CANNOT GET THE FBI, REPUBLICANS OR DEMOCRATS TO DO THE RIGHT THING FOR TRUTH AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. WE PROBABLY NEED ANOTHER PARTY IN POLITICS TO TELL THE TRUTH THAT OUR PAST AND PRESENT POLITICIANS WANT COVERED UP. GODS WILL IS MAKING IT HAPPEN ANYWAY BUT THESE PEOPLE ARE MAKING IT TAKE LONGER AND HARDER FOR ALL OF US TO KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED AND IS REALLY HAPPENING. DOUGLAS K. STEWARD IN WASHINGTON DC FOR TRUTH AND JUSTICE FOR ALL NOT JUST SOME!!!!
WTF!!! You can bet an bench trail would not be granted if the assailant was two black boys against a white----or any trail involving a black man or woman. Our justice system, as many other venues in American continue it's practice of institutional racism. When will this country begin to progress and have it's funeral for racism and it's practices against minorities.
Seriously the two year old assault charge is not going away it is being resolved at the first layer of the judicial system apeals can be made if justice is not seen but demanding more money be spent on revenge for your own ego is just waste. If they did it the evidence will show it and one judge or twelve jurors will still get the same answer but the public risk of stupid riot makers is much increased when splashed around the way this website has done. They are in the process of being tried for assault let the trial complete before you argue about the color of the drapes in the court room.
