i really like jessica the way she sing...in comparison between the two finalist jessica's is much better that philips in a way of popularity, talent, voice and quality of being an entertainer. everybody has dance and sing when jessica performed all are enjoyed. for me they are all winner but only one can be hold the title for these season. honestly i compared the performance between the two finalist since on magic 12 performance till the battle, i am proud to say that jessica is more different than philips very performing and professional singer which not compared to other 16 year old lady like jessica...

Phillip has the unique, special & different voice, also has unique and different style !!! He’s the musician and can play music instruments well !!! Moreover, He has good personalities : simple, humble, emotional, non-competitive, nice and He always knows who he is & sticks to what he really wants to do !!! Perfect Phillip !!! I totally agree with klunited. This is not a race issue. Sure Jessica is a better singer technically but Phillip will go on to make unique music that people actually want to hear. Those who make race a factor either way (discriminating or here making it an issue when it isn't) are all "racists". Both were good, America liked Phillip better. Making anything else of it is ludacris.

Why are you people making it out to be more than it is? Can't it just be that although Jessica has a beautiful and powerful voice that America preferred something different? Jessica is extremely talented but her sound is very similar to so many (many of who she sang their songs); perhaps it has nothing whatsoever to do with her being from the Philippines and just that America spoke. I'm so tired of everyone creating a problem where there isn't one just because they don't like the outcome! She will go on to have a wonderful career because she is talented...but so is Phillip...give credit where credit is due and stop creating problems where none lie; sometimes it is just as it seems...nothing more, nothing less.

they're both good, its just that Jessica's final song is not a popular one, but still she gave a very best rendition of that song, and that's what matters most...... Its very obvious that Americans are not yet ready to be overruled by an Asian winner...... But even though Jessica didn't get the title, she will surely go far! far more than anyone else in this season can do!!!!! Go Jessica!!!!!!

There are some who can recognize and appreciate a unique, superb, talented singer and those who like someone who sounds like any other female singer. Woohoo Phillip!
There is something with american idol, Joshua eliminated from the contest instead of Philip and it surprised people, since Jennifer commented Jessica that she growls when she sings, then she tried to change her style not to growl. That really affected to her. Besides, america did not want her to win because she has a Filipino blood because her mom is from Philippines. The other reason that she voted off because American Idol chosen the song to sing from her Album which did not fit and match to her voice. America is not fair... American people they are not fair. Let us see, what will happen, Jessica will be more popular than Philip because Philips is nothing compare to Jessica. He won because america voted him to win, but he doesn't deserve at all...
