I've been wanting to check out girls since hearin about it.then came all the controversy bout it not being diverse enough so I forgot about it. Then I find out from u Apatow is a producer n u luv da show! So I said "fuckit" n powered thru these first 7...nigga...DATS MY NEW SHIT!! I don't like ANY of these characters (minus Marnie for obvious physical reasons) but I love every one of em! There so oblivious n sheltered it's jus hilarious to me.and I believe she (the writer)knows she ain't shit.like u mentioned: her line in the pilot bout being "the voice of a generation,or at least A voice." sets the tone pretty perfectly. N I'm a lol confused by this "lack of diversity" talk.i saw like 1 Hispanic,an Asian, a few darkies on the streets n a non-white chick works wit Hannah. From the writers POV I believe that is how she sees the world. N there's no recurring blk characters cuz she said in sum interview she doesn't have any close blk friends n she knows she'd fuckitup. I respect that. Stay in ur lane ma'am,I'll still watch.i watched Seinfeld,I watched Friends. Seriously tho thank u for puttin me on. Dem thrones is next.
