I'm not surprised it's a cardboard box not a plastic sealed one. I can't believe anyone would expect Kraft to be responsible for that. I agree it could have gotten into the box anywhere between the manufacturer and the family home. There have been more than one occasion in which the little flour mites have been in brand new stuff purchased at the grocery store. People should be grateful they have food to eat and stop trying to sue/expect payouts for every little problem. Nobody was hurt or died get over it.

this is truly disgusting! I for one will never open a box of Kraft Dinner again! Their offer of one dollar is an insult in itself! Yes, unfortunate things such as this can happen but to offer a one dollar coupon for a company that has so many products on the market and is as old as Methusula is unbelievable ! Come on Kraft, get with the times and send these people some real compensation!

Why would anyone eat "Crap" Dinner when in the time it takes to boil the water and cook the pasta, I can make a cheese sauce and make my own Mac and Cheese. Far tastier, far healthier and above all a whole lot cheaper.

I have been in this situation myself, when I was making Hamburger Helper. The noodles were in a sealed bag inside the box. When I opened the noodle package there were a whole lot of live wriggling maggots that came poring out too. I'm a bit phobic about insects to begin with and this did not help. I screamed and left the kitchen PDQ - when my heart stopped racing I got rid of this immediately (as well as the rest of the boxes, tossed them all into a garbage bag and immediately put it into the garbage outside. Ever since I haven't bought this product (brand name and generic. BTW the manufacturer sent me a coupon to replace the one box. The accompanying letter demonstrated that no one had actually read my complaint - it was generic boilerplate. When I read this story, I had to wonder just how many other consumers are in this same position. I also wonder if I would have received a different respinse if I had packaged up the maggots and noodles in sealed baggie and shipped it directly to the company's CEO?
