The crystal is a deal breaker for me. Even at that price point, I think its a must. I actually like the styling more than my NOMOS Ludwig 40mm but since I wear it at least twice a week, I need the scratch resistance.

I simply will not buy an acrylic-crystal watch. Otherwise it's great, but it takes so little to permanently mar these.
