While it's not a big deal to some, it's still a huge deal to others. It's sad that more people aren't accepting, but unfortunately, often times the person who is "coming out" has a good chance of being ridiculed. Is "coming out" taboo? Yes, and no. It shouldn't be, but I think it still is.
