Is Jeremy Lin worth what he's being offered?

Jeremy Lin abandoned his team when they needed him most. He wasn't thinking for his team or the organization that and other reasons why they are not considering bringing him back. All he was thinking about was money. Which I don't blame him for that. I blame him for abandoning his teammates during the playoffs. Other teams were playing with bum knees, bad toes, bad arms, and still came to play. He just became a diva. I don't care if he comes back. Have fun being a nobody in Houston. They aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I believe that Knicks owes Jeremy Lin a lot. He came big time with big performance and very humble when the morale of Knicks as a team was on the floor. He lifted up and allowed Knicks to go to the play off. Therefore, other Knicks' players must appreciate him and must not put him down.

of cause he worth! or you think Houston GM is idiot???

but in other side if Knicks to match it will cost more because the luxury tax.that is the point! which means if Knicks wants to match the offer, it has to spend more than double for him in next 3 years. Could Actually Cost The Knicks $73 Million To Keep Jeremy Lin!!!
$73 Million made Knicks hesitate to match. not $25 Millions!

JLin is well worth the offer, considering how he revived global interest (me & my family included) in NBA, selling more tickets (& @ higher prices) & jerseies for Knicks, setting a role model in team work & being humble in professional sport, & his electrifying playing skill. He can only get better skill & money-making if not constrained by me-only Melo & Woodson.

He is worth the price not only for his basketball skill but also for the way he plays. He passes unselfish, motivates the team, helps his teammates better and acts like a fearless leader on the court.

He is a role model for young people.

Whats up with these black players. So sick of them. They make all these money and throw away because they want this hip hop look. Have you seen the reality TV show on sports stars wives. What a disgrace. I have nothing against blacks but I'm sick of their kind complainaing about everything. How the world is against them. HOw they were slaves. Soo sick of it. Stop complaining and be productive. Ask your homeboys to start selling drugs and gang banging and do something productive with your lives. And look at the one guy in Portland they paid him enormous amount of money and he flopped. The dude that looks like Frankenstein. I dont here the black complaining about him. What a pathetic race the blacks are. Your race (black) will never amount to anything. I'm a minority and I have a right to make my statement. I live in LA and I see the blacks and they way they are. Even the blacks admit the failure of their own people.

Hey don't call Carmelo a Moran. he's The best scorer in the NBA. He had 30.0 points-per-game in April ( including in playoff) . Amare is rebound machine and a scoring machine. When Carmelo wasnt there amare avaraged 27.3 points per game in 55 games last year. Curse u j and the tiger. Go knicks.

  • njh - 12 years ago

One should not be paid for potential alone. Without much record, and only a possible future
contribution, it does not make any business sense . It is not too late to compensate someone adequately after a solid performance reord has been established.

Carmelo is an idiot and a moron. Untried rookies get these types of offers without ever even stepping on the NBA floor. Lin proved himself when no one else was qualified to step up. Give the man his props, shut your mouth, play your game, and try to make the franchise a winner.

I am pretty sure he will be a super Star soon if the knicks don't match the offer. Anyway the knicks are suck with Carmelo and amare....lmao.

  • pat steele - 12 years ago

Carmelo needs to shut his piehole. He signed a huge contract "before" he even played one minute in the league. So has most of them. Its rediculous that even one of them make that kind of money. It just drives up the cost of everything from shirts to drinks to TV rates. None of them are worth it.

It all makes sense if he goes to the rockets and he have to score 27.6 points per game and have 7 assists. U see I'm a Knicks fan and I think it would be better if the Knicks not match the offer cause you see they don't have that much cap room cause of melo amare and Tyson. And also they have reymound Felton who scores 17.4 points per game WITH 8 assists. He can do both.
