Amazing article. I read it and wondered about the unquestioned backlash that would occur if a Vogue fired a fashion editor for being black. Essence not only acknowledges it, but welcomes back the person who criticized hiring a white editor in the first place. Some people accept their obvious racial biases much more comfortably than others.Guess racism is flourishing in the black community and its publications.
