Although I don't consider Boston Beer Co. a craft brewery, they do WONDERS for the craft beer industry in their commercials. They present people with information, standards and terminology to an interested clientele base. I used to work for a craft brewery and have used their commercials to help people understand what the brewing process was all about. It's a small 30 second spot and there is much more to understand than what they can pack into that 30 seconds but Jim and company do a great job conveying their passion and excitement for craft-style beer.
Is there such thing as a craft beer brand? Samuel Adams is a craft beer brand. Boston Beer Company is a contract brewer. They brew some craft beer, but I wouldn't call them a craft brewery.
