What is the most outrageous element of this story?

The badly injured dog sat for 2 days in the Farmington pound without vet care.

The paid staff left the dog to suffer until a volunteer took action to get her the help she needed.

The owners were posting "lost dog" notices everywhere but no one from the Farmington pound responded.

A shelter in a different state finally got the dog vet care and posted her online so the owners could find her.

The newspaper thought this was a feel-good story.

I can not possibly pick just one.

This entire story makes me sick. The unnecessary suffering and apathy overshadows the dog's final return home.

Every item on the poll was outrageous. I wanted to choose all of them together.

I cannot pick one because I am just amazed that Mona got any help at all!! I would not make the poll so completely negative. Yes, she was transferred, yes, she suffered for two days, yes she had to be noticed by a volunteer...but the bottom line is that she DID get the help she needed and she IS being reunited with her people. That's a HOORAY for me.
