Just now realizing that Major Crimes has taken the place of The Closer. Maybe I missed some episodes…not sure. Have just seen one episode of the new show. But its so confusing. What happened to Brenda and Fritz? Fritz looks much older and is now wearing a uniform and is referred to as Chief? He’s no longer with the FBI? Also, he refers to Pope as “breathing down his neck”, but I did not see Pope at all.
Its just not the same without Brenda! Kyra…Please come back!! The character of Brenda always seemed to be two-steps ahead of everyone else. With Brenda, each team member had a unique dynamic with Brenda. The new show just reminds me of what is missing!! Gosh I hate this. What a loss!! Ill watch the new show but MAN, what a disappointment!! No way to save this train-wreck unless Brenda comes back!! No way to say it more delicately…..BRENDA WAS THE SHOW!!

UUgh! After watching the complete series The Closer in 8 weeks, I moved onto Major Crimes.
1. Andy looks like he's aged 10 years.
2. Provensa is taking his "grumpy old guy" schtick to unbelievable levels.
3. Taylor is more of a douche-bag now than during the first season.
4. The idea of plea deals on murder 1 down to lesser charges to save money & time just rubs me wrong.
5. Raydor, whom I've hated from day 1 as a shallow, stiff, UN-intelligent police officer is still as dreary as ever. This has nothing to do with age or sexiness (I'd date her if she smiled).
6. They dumped Pope completely.
7. It's nice to see Fritz every so often, but he just reminds me of Brenda.
8. If they wanted a young, hot black woman why not bring back Irene Daniels (Gina Ravera)?? I loved her character and she was great with the financials. That could bring back older viewers who liked the character and get the new fans to watch some of the older seasons.
9. Too much Rusty. I had low tolerance for the non-police elements of the closer (Brenda's parents, for instance). It seems like we're getting 30 minutes of police work and 30 minutes of "family drama" now.
10. The way Amy Sykes is sucking up to Cpt. Raydor is ruining the first few episodes.
I'm a few episodes in, and I may watch a few more, BUT this show definitely lost something more than just Brenda, Pope & Detective Gabriel. I can't envision finishing even 1/2 of season 1.

Do I give Major Crimes a try, I have, what a Joke, this monotone woman is annoying and needs to get off of tv.
This story of the boy living with her is also very annoying. Enough is enough. Please take her off TV and put someone on like the closer. I truly hate this show but as it is nothing else on TV to watch but this horrible actress. Pheeeeeew.
