Do you read prologues?

    I always read prologues because if I'm going to bother reading a book, I might as well read the entire book.

    But many times when I read a prologue, I start the first chapter in a confused state if the prologue isn't directly related to the first character introduced. Or, if the prologue is vague and/or cryptic, I'll forget what it said by the time I reach the point in the book where the prologue makes any sense.
