Do you read or writer prologues in novels?

I'm sure agents have come to their conclusions through experience but when an agent says he/she does not even read a prologue because it is likely that it is an info dump for a lazy writer's back story, my inclination is to consider the agent lazy or missing out.

It is no wonder that agents are, like prologues, being bypassed.
