Should Hampton University's Business School Enforce A Ban On Dreads And Braids?

I feel the ban is more than acceptable. You are more than welcome to express yourself, but don't let your desire to express yourself hold you back. If you walk into an interview in jeans and a t-shirt because you want to express yourself, then you can not be angry when you do not get a call back for round two. First impressions are everything, and if your hair or attire in general skews that image, you better be a prolific orator and cunning sales person to sell yourself past your appearance. Once you get in then run free and express yourself as you will.

If it's the students' school then they should come to their school the way they want. So, is it their school or Dean Credle's school. It's important for the student to "look the part" when looking for a job! If you don't mind me asking; What part is that? European! You're telling me that I can be dumb as hell, but as long as I "LOOK" the part "EUROPEAN" I can get the job. Do we need to say, "Yes'um boss" and buck our eyes wide open too? I am Sssmmmart, Immmportant, and Necessary!
