Latinos are the only group currently allowed in the USA to undercut the insulting minimum wage because they're fleeing from poverty.

This is a totally disrespectful way to present our FIRST LADY! I don't think they would take too kindly of an American publication showing their high ranking officials wife climbing on a stripper pole.
Shame on them and this IS NOT ART! A bust or painting of Mr. and Mrs. Obama would have been more appropriate, showing their elegance.
This is a disgraceful magazine. They should go broke and never be able to sell another subscription.

The depiction of The First Lady in a slave image implies that the only history of African-Americans is slavery. Ms. Obama is a highly educated lady and more accomplished that many of her counterparts among white women. Would it be appropriate to portray former First Ladies as cave women, as that is part of their historial reality? Racism and bigotry are expressed in many forms.

this is tasteless,offensive and beyond awful.....whatever happened to giving the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES ,the dignity and respect the office deserves....the new yorker magazine needs to give mrs.obama and her husband a SINCERE apology....SHAME on everyone who was involved in this travesty.
