Regina is right. The RNC is grand standing when they put any blacks on the stage. They are just trying a last minute effort to sway minority votes.
The Dave Chalian should not have been fired...

When he was in Houston, his speech at the NAACP national convention was to ignite his base of Southern Conservatives...not to help blacks. He did not lay out one plan to decrease the rate of unemployement in the black neighborhoods. He did not address the LARGE dispartiy between black conviction rates vs whites when it comes to the same crimes.
Talk about the problem that everyone sees...its ok to be black and conservative....but don't think the current RNC has your back...

Chalian was commenting on a real-time situation which was true- I listened to the whole GOP speakers/event. However, his choice of words were V rated. Yahoo is just too soft to fire him. Be a man Yahoo, be strong and do what is right. A genuine apology must have solved the incorrect use of adjectives, verbs, etc, etc. I would say a misnomer on Chalian's part. The English language is a true "chamellion" and people sometimes get carried away. Comprende?
