I have placed many things in drawers in the past, but I find it to be much easier to have my most used tools out in the open and ready to use (drawers tend to hide things). I still like to store precision instruments safely away in a drawer for their protection. I don't believe that I will ever get totally away from storing things away in drawers. When you start collecting a lot of tools, I think visibillty is very important. I would rather be working on my project than going on a scavenger hunt for something that I can not remember where I stored it.
