Until a May 2012, I used a CD. Every attempt to make a LiveUSB flash install had failed for me. Even today, I do not know how to do that on Linux/Ubuntu.
Yumi on Windows makes having 10 distros and 20 system save-your-butt tools easy. I'd prefer a Linux tool that could be easily scripted, however. No point-n-click crap just to update the distros to mulit-boot from a USB flash drive.
This week, we're having an InstallFest at my LUG. Most users will be getting Ubuntu x32 desktop in either a wubi or VirtualBox install. I hope we don't have any GPT partition issues, like are reported on the forums. We will be using Yumi to handle most installs - actually teaching the users how-to use it. Cross your fingers for our success! Last year we installed about 25 systems.
We're hoping for 50 this year.
