Peyton Manning is...

I've watched Montana, Marino, Bradshaw + many other QB's over several decades. Prior to Peyton coming into the NFL, Marino was my personal fav. Something about Peyton Manning, that is unique and special. Watched him as a TEN Vol too. His story, his career has been ongoing for many years. Personally I could care less about stats, records (Peyton has tons) and they don't necessarily make a player better than others. It IS about being a great leader, making your entire team better, conducting yourself as a professional and a good person. Peyton has all of these qualities and many, many more. Last season without him on the field was 'different', the excitement was lacking. He is good for football in every aspect. Other QB's on the field today that I personally appreciate don't all have the 'must have' qualities. Too many are record chasers in pursuit of their own glory-not true team players. Those that whine, complain, sulk and pout may have loads of talent, but they are severely lacking in personality, display insecurity and may never truly appreciate the good in others. Unfortunate for them. Peyton's a natural born leader with his own talents. I appreciate his great intelligence and fabulous sense of humor. Love watching him play. (as for Favre-he did have his day in the sun, then tarnished his own reputation with scandalous stupidity. Brett was very good, tough as nails, but wanted the spotlite for himself too much-still craves it. So while he exceeds in records/stats he lacks in areas that cannot be overlooked for all around greatness) Peyton IS TOP 5 in my books. Like the others I mentioned, they are in a class of their own. NO 2 are the same. Their individual greatness may be mimicked, attempted to duplicate, but cannot be matched completely. Numbers don't make greatness, the person does.

Well He's One of The Top 10 QB's of All Time But Hardly Top 5 Personally. Who's Your Starting 5, Montanna, Young, Boomer, Bradshaw Hell You Can Put Brett Farve In There. He's Been the League a Minute But Only 1 World Championship. Farve Has Better Stats Over Peyton. So Wouldn't He Be 1 of the 5. He's a Decent QB!

You can argue if he is top 5, but everyone knows in their heart he belongs up there. regardless of what has happened going in too WEEK 2, that should not detract from the real value of watching him play, and beat my beloved Bears in the super bowl. What we know for certain is that aspiring QB's will watch his game tapes, his interviews, and the way he conducts himself as a leader by his presence on and off the field.
