Nats should extend a QA for one simple reason; Jackson absolutely should be trying to parlay his excellent 2012 season into a 3 or 4 year deal, and I'd be shocked if he takes another one-year deal at the age of 29. His agent (was Boras, now Legacy) has to be advising him the same. So the Nats get their comp pick if they decide to go in a different direction.
