up until now for me the only advantage of the android devices was that they weighed less, since I have back and shoulder injuries so I was very glad to hear of the iPad mini until I learned here it is wifi only.

IPAD MINI 7.8INC SCREEN/WIFI VS KINDLE FIRE HD 8.9INC SCREEN/WIFI
Ipad mini sound impressive but not good enough because the price will be to-high and on android tablets its easier to download games and no jailbreak require.....for me itunes/apps store is to expensive..

When I bought my iPad, I looked at several other tablets, but ultimately decided on the iPad 3, 16 gb wifi only, for several reasons:
• I'm very familliar with Apple's devices
• Although there is no usb connection to share battery, I wouldn't want to
• Very easy to find cases, speaker docks, etc.
• I tried out the iPad, and against other tablets I looked in to, it ran more smoothly and was easier to operate
• Other people had told me the iPad gave their PCs a run for their money
If you can point me to a tablet that you think is better, I'm more than willing to take a look.

What is the big deal about Apple's cocooned ecosystem, how can Apple dominate the tablet world by such a huge amount, aren't people aware of viable options? It continues to be a totally baffling ideosyncrasy in the computing world.
