what restaurant was the Groupon for TGI Fridays (tacky hit the 2 for 20 deals if you are on a budget) some shit that costs $20 an entree where she's drinking liquor, getting a salad and dessert bust out that groupon like a bawse.
Married now but I had a $50 max first date budget back when I was professionally employed and single.

I had a conversation with a female friend where I pitched a similar gameplan for executing the use a groupon on a 1st date that you pitched on the show Rod. If you're going to use a groupon on the 1st date, you have to run it by the woman before you show up at the restaurant. A tactic that may save a dude face is to make it seem that the groupon coincidentally came from a restaurant that you've been meaning to try. You simply pitch that line, and ask the woman if she's interested in coming along. Other than that, there's way too much that a woman will infer about a dude from the use of a coupon on the 1st date.

Kev seems like a cool person and I hate to say this but that was tacky, but it could have been executed better.
- He should have waited for the bill, acted like something is wrong on the bill. Then excused himself walked over to the waiters station explain the groupon wait for the bill to be adjusted. Pay the bill tip the waiter(extra for the last minute adjustment) an then sat down like a G and tell her "I took care of it". She would have never known.

It's sounds tacky how Kevin executed the groupon sitch. Also Kev's friend pulled the okie doke, she wasn't even a nerd. It can be used on the first date, just not how he did it. I would have a conversation with the lady. Ask her what type of food she liked and give her multiple choices. Then you be like oh I just found this groupon for this restaurant. Include her in the process. Also make it clear money isn't the issue, value is. If we use this we can get more shit. So you can totally gage the sitch without awkward stares at the table. Now if the bitch looks down on that she ain't about shit anyway.

Well in the middle of recession, Damn right its acceptable. And if they go dutch on the date, which in my head, is the best possible scenerio for a first time date. Them pockets gonna be fuller then warren sapp's fat ass on thankgiving for the next date. If they make it there.

I thought dates were to get to a know a person you may be interested in. Fiscally responsible people usually make good spouses. To be turned off by someone due to their trying to get the best 'bang' for their buck would be similar to not dating someone because they drive a Prius instead of a H2 sitting a 7" lift w/ Mississippi MudSwappers. Dump this chick!!!
