#2 really complements the cover from "Your first 2 years in youth ministry"

That cell phone in #3 is older than dirt.

#4 Shoes are a perfect metaphor for growth-I'd go with Van's though

I always pick a book by its cover. Number #2 for me please.

I'm solidly voting for number 1. The others don't even come close to me. :)

#1 Gets my vote but with some changes: "Rick Warren" text is too large, it fights with your name for prominance. I would also try having the sub-title text a little smaller.
#2 Good balance, but greyscale is a little boring - won't "pop" on a bookstore shelf.
#3 Took me too long to understand the screened image as a desk. Flip phone out of date. Good balance and use of space though.
#4 Top heavy with large block text, too crowded - not enough open space. Tennis shoes will date the book as they go out of style, so does the cover.

Also, take a look at the spine art that goes with each of these. You want something that will stand out when only the spine is visible.

They were all great covers. Number 3 was a good one, but the thing that stood out to me was the fact that it is a bit outdated in phones. Most kids now have iPhones or Droids...not flip phones. Great book!
