Simple, if it wasn't $80 or more for the WORST seat in the stadium, then maybe i would think about going to the game.... did i mention that those $80 seats are for the Cleveland Browns?!?! yeah i'll stay at home safe and sound to watch them lose. i mean really $80 is just the beginning, then you have $20 in parking and unless you don't eat or drink anything (i dont drink alcohol so i'm not even referring to beer here) that's easily another $30 for 2 drinks and some stale nachos. so for 2 people to go your looking at over $200, minimum, for 1 game!!! yeah i'll stay at home, cook my own "football sunday" food, sit with ALL my friends in a warm apt. to watch it on a hi-def t.v. even if you include the cost of my cable bill the total cost for me to enjoy the game won't break the $125 mark and thats supplying food and drink to my friends!!!

The game day experience is ruined by the tailgating, drunk fans and belligerent behavior. My boys dream of seeing their favorite players play. We instead go to college games which Seem to always be sold out. It is a healthier environment in most cases.

Like most others it's a matter of $$$$$$$. Ticket prices to take a family of 4 are outrageous. It's almost cheaper to go on a vacation. The food and drinks should come with candles since I feel like someone just had sex with me. I really love the fans and atmosphere at the stadium it's really just the dollars for me.

Yes everyone enjoys the comfort of watching the game in their home and enjoying the the company of their friends.. That being said, for a life long fan of the NFL, NOTHING compares to being there (for me at Reliant Stadium in Houston), watching the best athletes in the world compete live and being a factor as a fan... Every chance I get. Im there.

its a lot better watching the game at home in a hd tv with the surround sound on. dont get me wrong at the stadium when the game is close and the crowd is rocking its a great experience, but the prices to be at a game its to high for me. also being a Cowboys fan in Los Angeles the travel to go see them play being up north or Az its just cheaper to watch every game on sunday ticket.

Those who voted At Home have abviously never been to their favorite teams home field. The experience is like no other, (from crowd chants to the loud noise) the experience is unbelievably amazing. I do know a few very good sports bars that can at times be a great place to spend a Thursday,Sunday or even Monday. If ticket prices would go down a hair or even allow the general public to get a hold of the tickets before ticketmaster or these other ticket companies bump the ticket sales up the roof. It would be that much better.

Tickets concessions outrageous $$$ constant real time marketing annoying flag football rules defenders constantly fined and most at risk of injuries fines suspension for playing game as taught and loved. RG1 prefers higher drinking and driving home from games? I see the dominant defenders suffering end of life dying of suicide brains donated but offense and QB are protected first and foremost? RG1 is really making it easier for me to watch less and less games on my high end TV THX Sound system with rule changes and basketball points sought. I have never will never watch a basketball game boring game translating to boring arena NFL and nosedive in play/ profits. Offense did not want to get hit or practice OK yay points! Before labor deal NFL was exciting most games came down to final minutes defense was aloud encouraged it was football. Everyone losses here fans owners players competition to make the team is more so then played in games it's ruined not exciting any more and these refs are not held in a capable real time honesty deciding games which they have no business doing. Can not a wait the assault on a crew of refs who think its about them it's coming Bill Leavy or Staratore. RG1 the business stats are there it's declining and people are taking back Sundays good for them this product is BS Players show up half the time collect whole paycheck Owners notice the decline in game it is not going to get better unless you expand rosters play football both sides of ball and head injuries since lawsuit is only true worry one a year 4 a career your done something along those lines nose dive in this product. Too Big to fail nope! " Turn out the lights the party's over!" No more $ from me for NFL no more Sunday Ticket pissed at myself that I purchased it this year no more! Defense and lack of fair consistent play and of course Rodger Goddell killed the NFL.

I think Goodall is out of touch. HD tv is not to blame for dwidling stadium attendence. I have to agree with both Cory and Francis. The prices at the stadiums are way too high for the average person, and the safety and comfort levels (drunks etc) are pretty bad. Soon the games will all be pay per view and not everybody will be able to afford that. Then who will he blame it on.

Being a Cowboys fan in northern California, I don't really have any option but to watch the game at home. Going to Oakland or SF while the Cowboys are visiting would be suicide... You couldn't pay me to go. Why would I chose to pay ridiculous amounts of money for tickets, mediocre food, etc. and deal with the sh!t talking when I could be comfortably watching at home with a respectable beer? $20 for some nasty Coors Light and nachos...? For real!? Not to mention the traffic and the hassle it requires getting in and out of the stadium/city. I would consider buying a plane ticket to Dallas, pay for a hotel, and watch the game at the top of Jerry World before you got me in a local stadium. Even if tickets were reasonably priced, the stadium environment is still dangerous. Fans get stabbed, beat up, and shot on a regular basis. Look at the SF Oakland preseason game last season... It's a shame. I would love to see games live but the risk greatly outweighs the reward...

Because of the drunks and profane language at the games. You can't sit and watch a game you have to stand up and yell drunken obscenities . Don't think about taking a child or your wife unless you don't mind them exposing them to vulgarity.
