I've read printed books all my life and decided to buy a small laptop with a LED screen.
I down loaded Kindle to read e-books, I'm very disappointed the black type is not black but med gray in order to get black type I have to have view the rest of the lap top in very high contrast.
The back lighting hurts my eyes no matter how I dim it. An opaque background rather than a bright lighted background would be better for any eyes. These e-readers should imitate books.
The type should be black not gray with normal contrast.
