The RSCVA says it can't afford to expand the convention center, so the Reno area won't be able to host future, larger Safari Club events. What do you think?
Heads should roll for not having the foresight to see this would happen and move to avoid it back when times were flush.
It's not worth spending the millions needed to expand; we should stay focused on getting big (not gigantic) conventions.
Good riddance to the Safari Club. Its privileged, rich, gun-happy convention isn’t something we want here.
It's a shame we'll lose the Safari Club, whose pro-hunting philosophy captures the American West and is part of Reno's history.
Some entity must find the money — even if by ballot measure — to expand the convention center now. It'll prepare Reno for the future, make us a convention destination, and employ construction workers.
