it is easy to see that Halladay and Lee are good moves. they were. but the issue is Jimmy , Chase and Ryan's contracts.... he will not get younger players to move on ..... Jimmy signing is the worst of all because they had a young guy who could play SS yea he not much of a hitter buy at this point neither is Jimmy. We must get young er Byrd & Ruiz these guys are to old for this team. I hope this is Ruben's Last Year.. this team also has a very bad minor system as well. Also falls under Ruben.

We all know the team is in a financial delimma. Overpaid for a few players and now paying the price. Unfortunately, with age rearing its ugly head combined with their finances, this spells disaster. This latest signing of Young just proves we are in the midst of a 2 - 3 year re-building program. Fans are not suppose to know this, just pay for your tickets and be happy. Look what we've done for you in the past???? This team may not win 80 games this year.
Certainluy not going to beat the Nationals and just look what the Braves did to complete a very formidable outfield with the Upton brothers. Look like 3rd or 4th place this year, next year and possibly more. Way to go Ruben............this is your mastermind!

I don't think it is fair to give Amaro a C-/D+ overall as the total poll currently has it.
He did very well early on, and probably deserves a low grade for this off-season. The poll question is "How would you grade Amaro as a GM?"
Actually, I think he should trade Rollins. Apparently his value is high around the league, and he is not satisfactory any more leading off, nor consistently hustling. Jeter is an older shortstop and he never fails to hustle like Rollins does so I cannot give Rollins a pass based on age.

Nothing great was out there. You don't pay gourmet prices for Applebees. They overpaid for gourmet before and now the pockets are empty. We have to accept this isn't going to be there year.
