Is There Anyway To Save The Innercity Youth Of Chicago?

Since I am from Chicago, and grew up and lived in that environment I will say yes. My parents moved us out of the city and the close western suburbs to get away from what they saw coming. The thing is as adults we need to talk to the kids to find out why they feel hopeless or what they feel about whats going on. How can we tell what kids are going through from the outside looking in? Washington just fires off shit to get people to shut up. It's not even a band aid it's just a wipe up of the blood. I think the only reason the girl in Chicago was even mentioned is because she was MURDERED a mile away from President Obama's home.

So as for what to do I will address it with my nephews and nieces to get their point on this story and what they think can be done to help. Congress should be spending money on talking TO inner city youth (black, brown, white, and yellow) instead of talking AT them. These laws that are being made are effecting people now, not down the line.

I'm saying yes because I don't want to be that cynical to think those kids can't be saved. But I don't have a clue how the change could start.
