Do You View Africa As The Motherland?

Africa is the motherland. Whether we identify with it or not it is where our line starts, as little a 4 great grandmas ago. I too @AnimalThug have reservations about how Africans would treat me if I returned. And Tayrel your wrong, Sydney damn near shut down when The Duke of Cambridge got married, it was like a national holiday; the same happened in Canada too.

I consider Africa the cradle of civilization but not so much on the motherland talk. I just have no association with the continent. I am sure Australians ain't shouting out England as the motherland because we are all just to far removed from it to make any associations with it.

I don't think going back would be good for me. Every African person I have met that didn't work at whole foods has been pretty mean. I couldn't imagine being in a strange land with people thinking I'm upity and giving me wrong directions & I end up in the jungle.
