I thought it might be YouTube only as well, but it ran (at least in our area on our cable system) during the Top Chef finale.
It's a youtube ad, and Amazon thought it was the the right platform to be a little controversial. Good choice of venue, mainstream America will never see this ad. It is a test for reaction. Will it turn some people off, absolutely, but negligible. Nonetheless a clever and topical ad.
