Really? I went to KU and can't believe that out of everything in the entire city of Lawrence they picked this! This sandwich is just from some generic foodservice counter in the student union. It is barely a step above Subway. Might as well have picked something from Burrito King.
At ISU we discover that food is at the heart of the campus and we feed the world one pie at a time. 30 years later and grown men still beg for my fresh baked pie which I still bake for charity. Go State!

I just voted for the pies. Sixty-five years ago I danced in Veishea for two years and the third year did a silly skit. Also helped roll pie dough for pies. Hey, I'm still here!! That's from eating good Iowa corn and pork!!!!

The only thing I will regret from missing VEISHEA this year is not being able to get any of the Cherry Pies. At my old on campus job everyone always fought for the early morning shifts during VEISHEA due to our supervisor would bring in some pies.
So Dave, what was the excuse the Cyclone's used in their other two losses to the Jayhawks this year?

The only problem with VEISHEA Cherry pies is that they are only available during VEISHEA! I would eat them every day for every single meal if I could. They are so yummy. When I was a student at ISU, my friends and I would wake up early during VEISHEA week just to get the cherry pies before they sold out for the day. mmmm My mouth is watering.

I work at ISU and I am not a big cherry pie eater, but I could eat a ton of these. The crust melts in your mouth and is better than what grandma made.
