When the state's prosecutor seeks the death penalty, there's good reason for it. There are cold-blooded criminals out there who maliciously harm other people. If the state of Maryland abolishes the death penalty, they might as well remove justice from "... with liberty and justice for all," because there will be a shortage of it in this state.
