They need to offer this turbo option on the V8 engines... Then it's something worth drooling about... People don't buy a truck for good gas mileage, they buy it for the power and towing. If you can get 420hp out of the new 6.2L at 20mpg standard, just imagine adding a turbo to it... No V6 needed...

I would say NO!!! I have an Ecoboost and it does not live up to the "hype". Hard on fuel, misses and sputters, in the shop for engine issues about 5 days every month (2 years old). Has a lot of power but that's no consolation.

I'm ecstatic about this engine coming out! I'm looking into a pickup in the next few years and was considering an Ecoboost, but if GM is going to put their version in their trucks then I for sure will be an owner of one. I was born and raised GM and would love to keep it that way!
