When should security guards be allowed to intervene with force?
Only when there is a weapon involved.
Never. Call the police if it looks like force is necessary.
Just when a guard thinks someone might get hurt, regardless of whether a weapon is involved.
If a suspect appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
If a suspect looks like they might cause some sort of trouble.
