I've been laid off, a few times. The sad thing is most of those times were companies going out of business. Once I went in to work, and the company just wasn't there anymore. It was a Black Modeling Agency/ Acting School. It was called Honey Child, I should have known...

On the bright side, at least you're not a cornball brother.

I've never been laid off mainly because my company prefers to cut employees hours so much until they have to quit. I did have a job where the owner couldn't pay his payroll company which meant we didn't get paid for a week. We wouldn't open the restaurant without those checks.

Roderigo, how in the hell you gone get fired on your day off? I blame the ratchet middle name on Facebook. Let that be a lesson to all yall. Them middle name will get you, young. Seriously...sorry to hear about your job, young. I think it's for the best. Y'all have a very loyal fan base. Sit back and watch the donations flow in. I don't know how they do it, but some folks manage to make a living off being a blogger, and I think you have the goods to do it too. You certainly know them, ask them how they're doing it. As the deconess of the Church of Rod, I say, members of the congregation...dig into your hearts and your wallets and help good brother BIshop Roderin out. Karen boo....happy birthday. Have a drink on me. I love you both and miss you so much. Oh. My first job out of college was for a start up IT company, they downsized so I was laid off. I went to work for Webvan right after, then they closed. I lived off severance for 3 weeks, then worked for a temp agency. I was put on three long term assignments, one of which turned into a 5 year job. So, since I started working when I was 14, i've been unemployed a total of 3 weeks. That's how I got that good white girl credit. Hey...where is Chill? I miss her. Aight, peace.

August 15 2008 I was laid off after working for my company for 7 years 8 months and 15 days. I was really sad at 1st. I met a bunch of people that become lifetime friends ( Shout out to @Tayrel713) And since I work in the mortgage industry I wasn't sure what my next move was because most of our competitors were laying off as well. It was a real shock at 1st. But when I started getting severance and unemployment at the same time it was Chipotle days and Kettle One nights every day for me. Honestly one of the best time periods in my life looking back. I got to spend a lot of time with my brother and my best friend just doing random stuff and it wasn't such a thing as no for me at that time. I know your suppose to save money and be smart but I was having such a good time . I am now back with that company after only being gone for 5 months . I would like to say I am a little wiser with knowing what to expect and knowing it's not the end of the world when you lose a job.
