  • Hack almost won for UK - 12 years ago

Almost hacked UK to a win! But the network traffic stopped it from happening.
Search 'polldaddy hack' and you will find plenty of hacks.

  • marquette loses at hacking cover up - 12 years ago

A vote a second marquette? Thats not covering your tracks well. You could have just not strarted whining and no one would have noticed. Ass.hat.

  • lea - 12 years ago

No, theyre pissed off because they hate losing. Just becauae a link was reposted alot in one day doesnt mean anyone cheated. Pathetic cry babies. Pathetic sore losers. Voting for agold star chili rip off just to make uk lose it pathetic. People make me sick with their raging adolecent behavior.

  • boohoo - 12 years ago

Congrats to Marquette for winning in the crybabiest way imaginable. We now return you to your tradition of irrelevance, already in progress.

  • pb - 12 years ago

Marquette always Kicks Kentucky's Ass in Basketball too- so this is no suprise!

  • tchamp75 - 12 years ago

I am a MUgrad from 1975. Real chili was a staple when I was an undergraduate. John and Mary always said when serving you at the counter "mix it up boys, mix it up". On a cold winter day a bowl of hot, spaghetti & beans was a little nuclear furnace that kept you warm while walking to your next lecture. My vote is for that great memory.

  • ukgags - 12 years ago

MU2010...you sold me. I hope to make it to Milwalkee some day and if I do I plan to eat at Real Chili. Still voting for Tolly Ho but seeing as I am already a Skyline junkie, it is kind of a no brainer. Damn I'm hungry.

  • Bobbum man - 12 years ago

And yeah guy that's some hack.... How could UK ever really get a whole 300 votes in 10 minutes, lmao you'll are dumb

  • Bobbum man - 12 years ago

People it's a poll about food, yet here you'll are accusing people of hacking and all this... Get a grip

  • uk just started the hack - 12 years ago

UK just sent off a hack
    @2:30
they were down 10,366 to 9862
now 10190 after in ten minutes

  • TheLaw - 12 years ago

Thurston, my dude, you are an idiot. 2:30 was the most recent post on KSR, so there is going to be a huge bump in UK's numbers. http://kentuckysportsradio.com/

  • Thurston - 12 years ago

Yep, At 2:30 exactly, the UK hack kicked in. exactly 25 votes per minute for the last 10 minutes. This hack will win it for them.

  • JD - 12 years ago

I have had both......and am a MU grad.....

The Cincy chilli is bland.....and if you have Beans only Hot at Real chilli......That will put hair on your chest....Even the roaches like real chilli........and served by a "hotty" named "Blondy"......

  • MU2010 - 12 years ago

ghostrider, none taken. I did not do any additional digging, but thanks for bringing that up. I guess the point I am trying to make is that Real Chili isn't just mimicking another regional food item. This establishment has been around for a LONG time. This place is a Marquette staple. If you talk to any MU alums they go back for a bball game and follow it up with a bowl of Real Chili.

  • ghostrider66 - 12 years ago

MU, no offense, but if you dig deeper you'll find that the first Cincinnati Chili was actually Empress Chili, which was started in the late 1920's. Sometime after that, I believe in the late'30's the Sarakatsanis (sp?) family started Dixie Chili over in Newport, KY. You are correct in saying that Skyline started in the late 40's, but by that time 5 Ways et, al. were local staples. At least that's what my Grandmother always told me, and she moved to Cincinnati around 1900--and Grandma's never lie, which we all know.

  • mallock - 12 years ago

    Aaron Harrison
On hostile crowds: “We all know that there’s going to be a lot of hate, and a lot of lies told about us. It’s motivation.”

Excerpt from interviews with UK commits on Kentucky Sports Radio (same website where this poll was mentioned)

  • MU2010 - 12 years ago

According to a quick wikipedia search, Skyline Chili was founded in 1949. Real Chili was founded in 1931, and I know from my days at going to Marquette, the owner would still stop in late at night. "Cincinnati-style" chili may have garnered more national attention through Skyline and other chains in Cincinnati, but it was done first in Milwaukee.

Real Chili is a late-night MU staple. Open well after the bars close, usually full of rowdy college students and gets even more packed on popular alumni weekends. This is one of the things I miss most since moving from Milwaukee.

  • ukgags - 12 years ago

thurston, I was not comparing Real Chili to Steak and Shake per say. My point was that this is more of a regional dish made popular by Skyline Chili (Gold Star to a lesser extent) and is often referred to as Cincinnati Chili. I grab a 3way and two coneys everytine I see a Skyline (i live in the NC now so my opportunities are limited). As much as I love Skyline and this type of chili in general, it is not unique enough (all over Ohio and Indiana) to get my vote. And I am an admitted UK homer and the Ho is an incredible late night experience.

  • CATS - 12 years ago

It's really hard to vote for UK when you constantly get an error message saying 'This poll did not load properly"

  • stuuupid - 12 years ago

Dunno how spaghetti w chili on top of it could beat out the ho burger with those amazing tots... oh wait, unless about 14000 people got on here and made it a BBN vs. Everyone else thing, instead of food. Idiots...

  • Gus - 12 years ago

Hugh Jass. Your an ass... Don't be a hater

  • Kentucky - 12 years ago

    Kentucky,Calipari,& Mr Ho.....cheaters

  • MS - 12 years ago

Marquette and their food sucks balls

  • Sean - 12 years ago

Hugh Jass get the hell out of here. Working against "your own" city? Way to endear yourself. You're probably like 12th best burger in Lex, btw.

  • Preston - 12 years ago

Marquette's winning - must be a hack. All Marquette does is cheat.

  • Thurston - 12 years ago

IF you ever had a Real Chili, you would never compare it to Steak and Shake. The spices are unique. Even the recipe here is not as good as real chili. Come on, it is has been serving Chili and only chili for 80 years. That alone would say they have something special, and they do.

  • Old Blue - 12 years ago

Well, Marquette is getting 1 vote a second right now, so I guess they have better hacks?

  • ukgags - 12 years ago

First of all the original chili on spaghetti is a 3-way from Skyline. Even Steak and Shake serves the Marquette in some fashion. Surely they have something that speaks towards the University better than that. fYI...you need a chocolate shake in a cafeteria style glass to wash down the ho burger.

  • Aaron - 12 years ago

You people are pathetic. No one is cheating. UK just has a ton of fans and we scope out every online poll and vote for our team. Maybe you all should get some fans.

Secondly, if you went to UK and say Hugh Jass has better burgers, you can high tail your butt up the road to Louisville, because we don't want you. Tolly Ho is cheaper, better, and a campus tradition.

  • NoNamedNobody - 12 years ago

Wow, this thread seems to be full of people upset over a online poll. The internet is most definitely serious business people.

I always thought it was the Marquette Special, but w/e. It is a good Milwaukee meal, warms you up during the crappy winters up here and does a great job absorbing booze. I have never tried the other burger, but if it has gotten this far it will probably be worth a stop next time I'm down that way.

now to keep with the character of this thread:

blah blah blah cheating blah blah blah

  • TheHoNextDoor - 12 years ago

Hugh Jass-great story!!!! You mad bro????

  • Thurston - 12 years ago

Just wait and watch. Somewhere between 5:30 and 6 Pm UK will turn on the Hack and will pump out about 1200 votes per hour to take back the lead and put Marquette down. This is when the guy or gal gets home from work and turns on the hack. IT is more than obvious that it is a hack when it is running, and then when it shuts down, it just drops to a trickle.

  • to lea - 12 years ago

Lea- if your read the comments, people are pissed off that UK is just in the competition after blatantly cheating in the round of sweet 16. That's what is pathetic.

  • lea - 12 years ago

P.s VIVA LA AWKWARD MOOSE! party in the front, hardcore party in the back.

  • lea - 12 years ago

I love how pissed off people get when uk wins anything. Pathetic. The fact is, the marquette is a gold star chili 3way, which uks campus also has. Hugh jass is lame. A new business isnt a staple and the hugh jassholes that are in that place suck. You can get chili on your ho. Bacon egg mushrooms ive even seen em put on a chicken finger or ham. A full breakfast and lunch menu all day every day beats hugh jss nd any other place. Customer since 2000, and once upon a time employee. Youve not lived in lexington until someone has taken you to the ho, and they rang the ho virgin bell.

  • Not Awkward - 12 years ago

Hugh Jass: You've only been around for a few years and you sell over priced not good burgers. None of those characteristics will allow you to claim that you are a UK staple. You're also a chain that brings absolutely nothing unique to Lexington or UK's campus. I think 5 other restaurants have been in your campus location since 2005. Here's to wanting the Awkward Moose back. At least they were original.

  • proof easily seen by all other teams - 12 years ago

Funny how BBN can't see the proof. Denial is the first phase.

  • Hugh Jass - 12 years ago

Here's the round by round total of votes for the Tolly Ho Burger. Round 1 - 2,527 votes. Round 2 - 29,276 votes. Round 3 - 5,383 votes. Round 4 - 3,703 votes. Yes, BBN is great and all, but where are they for round 3 and 4? That's right, they're remembering Hugh Jass has the best burgers in Lexington, not Tolly Ho. (And I've got a UK degree hanging on my wall.)

  • BBN - 12 years ago

I'm well aware of how to use the internet. However, if you're going to post accusing UK fans of hacking the program, it would be nice if some real proof accompanied your claim - rather than what the "consensus of the comment section" thinks. I guess it matters not, and therefore falls under the category of "If it's on the internet, it must be true." But hey, it's a silly vote about campus food - let's not take this too seriously.

  • looks like the same old blue - 12 years ago

posting crap and trying to justify they didn't cheat. geeeee
    back to cookin'

  • Old Blue - 12 years ago

Purdue jumped out to a 10k vote lead on that first. Jeez, man are you just anti-Kentucky and can't believe we're that insane?

  • link - 12 years ago

BBN ,dude..... there is a thing called search. Here is the sweet 16 link to the overinflated #s by Purdue and UK.

    http://blog.cookingchanneltv.com/2013/03/22/cooking-channel-march-madness-best-college-eats/

look at the other rounds and the confirmation is evident. might be harder for a UK fan to see it. although this is about a food contest and not UK>

  • LOL at comment below - 12 years ago

Wow, lady. It's a poll about food. Now you're bringing up NIT and talking smack.... on a Cooking Network poll??? Let me guess - UL or IU?

  • How was the NIT UK? - 12 years ago

Guess the claim 2 fame will be food in '13. Tho it sounds lk some of the fans cheated to get there.
Nothing new bout a Kentucky team cheating. LOL against Baylor

  • BBN - 12 years ago

Link info regarding confirmed cheat, please?

  • UK #1 - 12 years ago

Yeah, UK has to cheat at a foodie poll. LOL. You think #BBN is just a term we coined for no reason? UK has the greatest fans. Deal with it.

  • To BBN - 12 years ago

BBN. If you read the information the individual was talking about the sweet 16 round that UK cheated on and ran the numbers.

  • BBN - 12 years ago

    20,000+ votes?? I see 3,307. Love, don't hate, baby.

  • Funny stuff UK - 12 years ago

UK called out on the hack by Purdue, then Purdue wrote the hack too. 20000 plus votes for UK in a day. Just late in the game of the sweet 16 for Purdue on the comeback.
Now a quick 1000 votes for the UK burger joint in an hour. Once a confirmed cheat, then hard not to call it a a cheat for the rest of the competition. It is what it is.

  • BBN - 12 years ago

To all the losers claiming UK fans cheat: Check out a "little sports blog" called Kentucky Sports Radio. They get more unique visitors a day than Yahoo! Sports. They gave this poll a shout-out, and therefore BBN dominated it.

But in all seriousness, Tolly Ho is the best - especially after 2 am.

  • Old Blue - 12 years ago

I wonder if any of these internet kids have seen Big Blue descend upon a town for an away game. Do they call hacks when the town is renamed Catlanta? Kentucky Fans are insane.
But, I do think something ridiculous was going on in that Purdue matchup, but it happened on both sides.

  • Grubba Dubb Dubb - 12 years ago

That breakfast burrito looks amazing. Way better than that other plate, though I would gladly try both.

  • Marquette is the best - 12 years ago

I go to Marquette, Real Chili is okay. But just okay. And the way they make the Marquette doesn't make much sense. Better off getting a Chicago dog with some sides.

  • UK is the best - 12 years ago

@ UK we know how to CHEAT, even at this! We don't care if it is a crappy burger. We just vote for the school.

  • JC - 12 years ago

A website that gets about 40K hits a day puts this up for Kentucky fans. We dominate polls regardless of the format. BTW I've had the Marquette on the advice it was something "I had to do". It sucked. A bunch of acidic bad chili on some mushy noodles. Ate about half of it. The Ho burger deserves to beat the crap out that horrible dish.

  • System Admin Comments - 12 years ago

Hey look, I can type "system admin comments" into the name too! Sore loser. #BBN

  • System Admin Comments - 12 years ago

    Jeff -
You can say that Marquette has sore losers, but Kentucky fans are the ones that are and have been cheating throughout the competition. Congrats on winning the competition the wrong way.
    System Admin

  • Jeffrey - 12 years ago

HAHAHA you guys are the biggest sore losers on the planet, there is a reason why we're called BIG BLUE NATION.

  • KENTUCKY DID AND IS CHEATING - 12 years ago

Kentucky did win in the early rounds by cheating. That is a fact! That is why the system had to be brought down then the code reapplied for only IP addresses. one vote for IP. Now they are using IP switches that can be seen by the counts and locations. That is the truth!
Now the competition should move to manual security verification so they are at least limited to true votes.

  • KSR - 12 years ago

It is not a hack sore losers. The poll is being mentioned on a UK sports blog that is visited by several thousand people a day.

  • Kentucky - 12 years ago

It's not cheating, we're just passionate. We happen to have fans who like to win. We then win.

  • Kentucky cheats - 12 years ago

Kentucky has ruined the whole event with cheating, as stated by another poster. It showed up early in competition, so what is an actual vote on their end.

  • Thurston - 12 years ago

It looks like Kentucky's hack is unbeatable. When it get flipped on, it seems to pump between 25 and 40 votes per minute. Everyone else seems to do about half that. IF Anyone out there who has lost and wants to run their lower speed hacks or macros toward Marquette, let's gang up on him.
