AFTER HAVING A NEW 1969 Z/28 RECORD HOLDING CAR IN 69- 70-71 AHRA. I AM GLAD TO SEE A Z/28 AGAIN THAT CAN STAND UP TO IT'S NAME. THANKS GM. ---THE OLD VETERAN.
I believe that after driving the new Z28 you will realize it is a better car than the ZL1, especially on the race track. Those Camaro enthusiasts who really know Camaros will most likely agree when they realize that Mark Stielo, GM engineer, had a great deal to do with the engineering the new Z28. Mark is the engineer and builder of the infamous "Red Devil", a 69 Camaro that he built in his garage that took on the 2012 ZL1 in a head to head shoot out and the Red Devil won. With Stielo's expertise, engineering ability, and performance background input into the new Z28 you can be sure that the car is King of the Hill among Camaros. So even though the ZL1 may put out more HP the Z28 is the car of choice to true racers.
I only wish Mark Reuss would move Stielo to the Corvette team so he could get the Z06 ready and quickly to market!
