No problem with President Obama's comment. Must have been a slow news day for the talking heads of cable news and talk radio.

I see nothing wrong with the comment. She is beatiful and used her brains to get ahead. Since when is being beautiful negative.

President Obama's comments about Attorney General Harris' looks are unacceptable on a couple of levels. First, the President wields the power of the Oval Office and must be meticulous in not showing favoritism toward "underlings." Second, on the basis of common manners alone, when there are 8 states that have female attorneys general, it is rude to say that one is the best looking of them. What kind of a society are we when the public cannot recognize or acknowledge unprofessional and rude behavior? Finally, instead of calling Obama's critics morons who should be more interested in the threat of North Korea, why not criticize a President who remains silent on world issues while commenting on the beauty of an attorney general?

Agree, Wayne! So now a president cannot make an observation that is complimentary? Of course, no one has ever made any comments about Obama's looks. In Canada, we have a race for leadership of the liberal party which is being driven by those who are sold on Justin Trudeau as being 'dreamy' and a celeb. Nobody is knocking the superficiality of choosing someone for flash not substance. And yet, while N. Korea threatens to nuke us all, we worry about political correctness re: the AG and Obama's observation of fact? GMAB!

I have never once sided with President Obama since he first put his face in the race but when the American public promotes this nonsense instead of the serious national issues we face, I stand with him. If any idiot wants to relate this to the issues facing women in the workplace they are way out of touch with reality.
