I have great craftman chisels. I brought them from a guy that new old tools. Chrome is almost worn off I think they are at least from 50s. Also a backsaw from earlier. Steel was better.back then on common tools. I have lots of tools from grandfather. He was born in 1898 and has a 75 yr pin from carpenter's union. He framed fasher than a man 30yr younger worked on titantic and the church i was married in. His thumbs were twice the normal size from hitting with a hammer so many times.

I have a Disston D7 panel saw that belonged to my great-grandfather. From what my mother tells me, he used it to build their house in Hammond Indiana around 1920. I found it in my mother's garage, suspected it was a Disston, cleaned up, and sent it to Mark Harrell at Bad Axe tool works for sharpening. I use it now all the time. It cuts beautifully.
