    I just need MORE space

My shop was a 2 car garage converted from an open carport and was too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. The garage lacked electrical power, blowing the dining room breaker if the lights were on and I fired up my tablesaw. Since I started I have carved out a pantry for my wife (a necessary tribute) and a small alcove for my design office and electrical panel access. I have installed 220VAC circuits on the East and Weast walls, 120VAC circuits at 50 inches above the floor on the East, North and West walls and separate circuits for lighting, dust collecting and airconditioning. All walls and ceiling were insulated and the walls covered with painted OSB. I still need storage so my next task is to install a system of French cleat rails on 3 walls to hang tools, fixtures and cabinets which can be relocatted as needed. I'll also be installing D/C piping along the East wall/floor junction to service my major chip and dust generating machines.

I'm building things in my mother-in-laws garage, its over an hour drive from my place to their so building is a days off only activity. It makes a quick task like adding a layer of finish a pain generally getting there and back takes twice as long as the activity, but it still allows me to make a few things here and there so it is far better than nothing.

I'm in a Big one car garage, and i only have the space ON the door ! My wife has a 7 foot pool table in the middle, and the back wall is full of (her) boxes... So with a 6'x19' work space, and all the tools......... I'm stuck on Picture Frames and Candel holders Ha Ha....... 14x24 shop coming right after taxes though, CANT WAIT !

I suppose that there will always be adjustments and tweeks, but whatever form it takes, I did it and it is mine Therefore, it must be perfect for me.

My shop is our 2-car garage. I wish I had a dedicated shop that I dont have to share.

I'm in the same situation as both Lou and Kurtis. Just add to that the Time to be able to be making sawdust!

It isn't the shop that needs improvement, its the tools in the shop I need help with!!! :)

Over size garage in which no cars are allowed.
It serves me well, if only I could have someone clean it ocasionally.
